"WANDERING OF A NEMOPHILIST" (TWO DAYS TRIP - MADIKKERY)
The weekend 27-02-2021 & 28-02-2021 there were 2 days holidays. So we planned to go for 2 days trip. The Telungana state participants already planned to go for madikkeri that is called as Coorg now. I have heard that before that it was a very beautiful place. So we thought to join with them. So from tamilnadu 9 members and from Andhra Pradesh 11 members joined with the Telangana participants who were 27. We decided to have a coordinator for each state. Then we booked a bus. I was the coordinator of Tamil Nadu, Srikanth was Coordinator of Telungana and Ramana was Coordinator of Andhra Pradesh. On 26th February,2021 at 11p.m we started the journey with the prayer song.
We reached the hotel at 4:30 a.m. It was full of mist covered. The feel was different and cool. After allotting the room we took rest till 8 O'clock. Then we had our breakfast. We were in a fresh mood to visit the new places.
We went to Nizargdhama a park with stream and wooden bridge. It was a different experience for us to visit. There we saw many different statues which explains the culture of Coorg society on ancient times. We admired the beauty of it and we went to the market nearby it and we started to go to the next place.
We went to Dubare Hills where elephants are taken care. The different and exciting moment was to reach the elephants place, we have to cross the stream by walking on the the stones and pebbles of the river. It was very wonderful movement, we loved to walk in it. After sometimes some of our colleagues start to play in water, so we are also joined together and played in the water which was a chilled moment.
We started to Raja seat which was located on top of the hill. There was a small park with beautiful flowers and also so realistic statues. From the raja seat viewpoint we saw the beautiful sceneries.
We went to the sun temple. Which has a lawn in front of it. We can see the tomb from far itself. It was very beautiful and different sculpture. Our friends visited the temple to pray and they returned with a spiritual and peaceful mind. Then we return back to our hotel. As a Coordinator we 3 states had a meeting towards the next day trip. I was planning with the driver to visit Mandhalpatty. Then booked the jeep for next days early morning to see the sunrise and admire the beauty of nature.
On 21st, February early morning at 4.45a.m we started to Mandhalpatty. After reaching the Madikkery town the Jeeps were waiting for our arrival. At once we reach they took 8 people in a jeep and we went for a different off-road drive. The sceneries were beautiful. They reached the parking place with lot of Jeeps in same place.
They gave us 45 minutes to return. We started to climb the small hill in the early morning with cool breeze which cooled our hearts. The sunrise view was marvellous. We need thousand eyes to see and admire the beauty of the scenic view. For me it was like the collective view of ooty's Nineth mile, Doddabetta and Kodanadu view point. It's unmemorable moment in our life. We can't explain the feel which we felt in words. At least we need half a day to enjoy the beauty but unfortunately we are in group. So I was pulled to return myself to the vehicles parking place. Then we returned to Madikkery town by the same jeep with a lot of curves and the road was very unconditioned but the journey was different and exciting experience like roller coaster. I felt gidines after reaching the town.
We had a delicious breakfast and we visited the Madikkery fort which was built by stones. There was a temple and our friends prayed, we took photos and we returned to bus.
Unfortunately one of our friend Satyanarayana missed his mobile phone on the adventurous Jeep drive. A good person took and they called and connected him to handover his mobile. So as a empathy of our friend the whole participants decided to wait in the hotel, where we stayed the previous day, which was on the way to Mysore. After two and half an hour waiting till he return, we all waited and we started our journey to Mysore. On the way we had a delicious biriyani and enjoyed the lunch in a Motel.
We reached Mysore palace and we took a group photo for our memorable moment. Then we enjoyed the beauty of the palace. Really the palace was very beautiful and admirable.
Each pillars shows the beauty and majesty of the kingdom.
The wall paintings and the floor works made me to mesmerize.
I saw the place where the king practices fighting. It was like seeing in the films. The statue of the tiger which attracted me shows the fierce and valour.
The courtyard was very beautiful and the balcony in it, I can't express it in my words. The amusement place of the king was very beautiful with artistic pillars.
The furnitures and the majestic mirrors were also beautiful. The roof with beautiful wooden carving shows the aesthetic sense of the people who built it. It was a very beautiful and wonderful moment in my life.
We started to Chamundi hills, there we saw the huge temple. Being late night and crowd we are unable to go inside. We explored the market and drank a sweet lemon soda for thirst and we returned to Mysore for dinner.
We had a delicious specially prepared buffet dinner. The hotel was booked by us separately for the dinner. The dinner was containing variety of foods. The pulav rice and chicken 65 was very tasty which was liked by most of us. Thus we enjoyed the trip and returned back to our RIESI campus at 11.30p.m. This was a memorable and enthusiastic trip in my life.
